The thought of heart disease or a heart attack scares me, as I’m sure it does most people.
Being a Type 1 diabetic woman, my chances increase. On top of that, I spent many years as a smoker. That increased my odds even more.
The first step to a healthier heart, if you’re a cigarette smoker, is to stop smoking! The easiest way for me to quit was to vape. Over time, you can have less nicotine in your juice and end up with juice that’s completely free of nicotine.
Another thing to add to your daily habits is a couple of cups of green tea with lemon.
Studies suggest that an antioxidant called EGCG, found in green tea, may stop the production of inflammatory chemicals in your body and prevent the build-up of bad cholesterol.
While drinking green tea, try adding a squirt of lemon, you may reap more benefits. The lemon enables your body to absorb more of the drinks healthful compounds, according to research.
So indulge in several glasses of green tea with lemon, you can enjoy it hot or cold!
