You would be surprised how many natural foods offer our bodies energy! With all these drinks on the market, loaded with caffeine and sugar, promising a quick energy burst; natural is the safer way to gain that energy.
That’s my opinion, anyway.
Two amazing foods that go well together for increased energy, are spinach and strawberries.
Spinach contains iron and the iron helps your muscles use oxygen, as well as support your metabolism.
Strawberries have almost 100 mg of vitamin C per cup. The vitamin C is immune-boosting and helps increase the absorption of iron.
Fun fact! Cooked spinach has more than four times the iron, compare to the raw form.
One way to eat this combination would be to add spinach to an omelet and eat a bowl of strawberries on the side.
You could also try a grilled mozzarella cheese, spinach and strawberry sandwich.
